Cookies and local storage are different
Cookies are small values a browser can send to a website with requests. LocalStorage keeps values within the browser for the same website origin and is not automatically attached to each request. Both can be relevant to privacy and storage consent rules.
The supplied website JavaScript sets no cookies. It can save a browser preference in localStorage when you choose an option below. It includes no optional analytics, advertising, social-media embeds or cross-site tracking scripts. Selecting optional permission therefore does not currently activate any such service.
Your storage preference
You can use all editorial pages and the contact drafting tool without allowing optional storage. These controls record a choice only; they are not a promise of consent to unspecified future tools.
No optional analytics or advertising tools are installed. JavaScript is needed to read or save a browser preference.
What is stored
kivaroroundupp-cookie-choice
Type: localStorage. Purpose: remember the selection you make on this page. Values: essential or optional. Location: your browser for this website origin.
Duration: no expiry is set by the code. The value remains until reset, cleared by you, or removed under browser storage policies. It contains no name, email address or message text.
What is not stored by the tools
The navigation menu state and scroll-reveal state exist only in the current page. Contact drafts are held in page memory, not saved to localStorage. A downloaded text file and copied clipboard content are controlled by your device and are separate from website storage.
Blocking localStorage may prevent the preference from being remembered, but it does not stop you reading the guides. Private browsing may clear the preference when the private session ends.
Changing or clearing a choice
Use Reset Preference to remove the key created by these controls. You can also clear this site’s data in your browser settings. Preferences are browser- and device-specific, so a choice made here does not automatically apply elsewhere.
If optional tools are introduced later, their purposes, providers and storage details must be explained and any legally required consent obtained before activation. A saved permission on this page should not be treated as blanket consent to an undisclosed change.
